Approximate Recipe (for small batch):
Kaolin Clay: 1/4 tsp
Sericite Mica: 2 tsp
Iron Oxide Pigment: 1 tsp (or more depending on the desired intensity of color)
Liquid Glycerin: 1/2 tsp
Germall Plus: (a pinch, or just a drop)
Procedure (in tsp):
Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a small bowl, combine 1/4 tsp Kaolin Clay, 2 tsp Sericite Mica, and 1 tsp Iron Oxide pigment. Stir them thoroughly to blend evenly.Add Liquid Glycerin:
Gradually add 1/2 tsp Liquid Glycerin and stir well until the mixture starts to come together into a smooth paste.Add Germall Plus:
Add a pinch (around 1/8 tsp) of Germall Plus to the mixture and stir thoroughly to ensure it’s incorporated.Adjust Texture:
If the mixture is too dry, you can add more glycerin, a drop at a time. If it’s too wet, add a tiny bit more Kaolin Clay or Sericite Mica to thicken it.Pack the Eyeshadow:
Once the mixture has the right consistency, transfer it into a small container and press it down to compact it. Allow it to set for a few hours or refrigerate it briefly to firm up.
This should yield a small batch of eyeshadow, perfect for testing! Adjust the proportions to create larger amounts as needed.
